Airworthiness

Aircraft airworthiness is the ability of aircraft for safe flight.

The activities assuring aircraft airworthiness are divided into certification and oversight of aircraft and certification and oversight of organizations and individuals involved in continuing airworthiness and aircraft maintenance

Continuing Airworthiness

In order to make sure that an aircraft is in a condition for safe operation, its airworthiness has to be continuously monitored.

Depending on the purpose for which the aircraft is used, continuing airworthiness can be managed by:

• an airline or individual organization,
• an aircraft owner/user.

Airlines or individual continuing airworthiness management organizations have to be approved by the Albanian Civil Aviation Authority.
