Occurrence Reporting

 

Aviation security monitoring is an integral part of the functions exercised by the Albanian Civil Aviation Authority.

By monitoring security levels in the aviation industry, the CAA can measure whether security risks are being properly assessed and identify areas in which security can be improved.

Occurrence reporting contributes greatly to the reactive and proactive identification of security risks and impacts on improving security measures.

The reporting system relates to CAA notification by persons and organizations of incidents involving any aircraft, maintenance operation, aerodrome or airspace. This information represents a very important contribution to identifying potential security risks.The purpose of occurrence report is to improve air safety by ensuring that relevant security data is reported, collected, stored, protected, and disseminated. The only purpose of occurrence report is to prevent accidents and incidents rather than defining guilt or responsibility. Occurrence report are treated confidentially to have full and free reporting from community aviation and to protect the identity of the individual, in accordance with Regulation no. 68, dated: 10.06.2011 “On Occurrence report in Civil Aviation”.
