Certification Of Aircraft
After the registration of the aircraft begins its certification process.
Noise Certificate
Every registered aircraft must have a noise certificate.
Issuing a Noise Certificate will be made in accordance with the Minister of Transport Order No.149 dated 07/04/2014 transposing EU Regulation (EU) 748/2012 “On the determination of the rules for the implementation of airworthiness and environmental certification of aircraft and related products, parts and appliances, as well as for the certification of design and production organizations”.
In order to obtain a noise certificate, the owner of the aircraft will make a formal application to the CAA in the form presented in the “Publications and Forms” link.
Application for “Mode S” code
After the registration of the aircraft, the owner will apply to the CAA for the 24-digit ICAO “Mode S” code, according to the form presented in the “Publications and Forms” link.
Radio license
An aircraft license is required for the operation of the aircraft. Radio licenses are not transferable.
The application for radio licensing shall be made to the “Electronic and Postal Communication Authority” (AKEP).
Issuance of Airworthiness Certificate (CofA) and Airworthiness Review (ARC) Certificate
The Application for the Airworthiness Certificate (CofA) and the Airworthiness Review (ARC) Certificate will be made by submitting the application forms published in the “Publications and Forms” link. The format will be sent to the CAA at least two months before the aircraft is brought into operation and commencement of operations.
Along with the application form, the applicant must submit to the CAA the following documents:
- with regard to new aircraft:
- a statement of conformity from an approved production organization, or :
- for an imported aircraft, a statement signed by the exporting authority that the aircraft conforms to a design approved by the EASA, and;
- a weight and balance report with a loading schedule;
- the flight manual.
- with regard to used aircraft:
i. Originating from a Member State of UE (EASA Aircrasft), an airworthiness review certificate issued in accordance with Part M;
ii. Originating from a non-member State (Non EASA aircraft):
- An export certificate issued by a competent authority of the State where the aircraft is, or was, registered, reflecting the airworthiness status of the aircraft on its register at time of transfer,
- a weight and balance report with a loading schedule,
- the flight manual when such material is required by the applicable airworthiness code for the particular aircraft,
- historical records to establish the production, modification, and maintenance standard of the aircraft, including all limitations this can be combined with aircraft classification report sent during the application for aircraft registration),
- a recommendation for the issuance of a certificate of airworthiness or restricted certificate of airworthiness and an airworthiness review certificate following an airworthiness review in accordance with Part M.
- Aircraft Maintenance programme.
After assessing the documents submitted by the aircraft owner, CAA will conduct their study and plan the audit of documents and aircraft.
After CAA finds everything in order and after all findings have been corrected, it will release CofA and ARC for the aircraft in question.
The issuance of the Airworthiness Certificate (CofA) and the Airworthiness Review Certificate (ARC) shall be made in accordance with the requirements of:
- Minister of Transport Order No.149 dated 07/04/2014 transposing EU Regulation (EU) 748/2012 “On the determination of the rules for the implementation of airworthiness and environmental certification of aircraft and related products, parts and appliances, as well as for the certification of design and production organizations”.
Minister of Transport Order No. 110 dated 02/10/2012, which transposes Commission Regulation (EC) 2042/2003 of 20/11/2003 “On the continuing airworthiness of aircraft and aeronautical products, parts and appliances, and on the approval of organisations and personnel involved in these tasks “.
