List Of Prohibited Articles

 

Passengers are not allowed to carry in the restricted security areas or on board of an aircraft, the items listed below:

(a) Weapons, firearms and other devices that propel projectiles capable of or appearing to be capable of being used to cause serious injury from firing a shell, including:

  • Firearms of all types such as: pistols, revolvers, rifles, shotguns;
  • Toy weapons, reproductions and imitations of firearms that can be mistakenly obtained for genuine weapons;
  • Integral parts of firearms, excluding bullets;
  • compressed air guns and carbon gases, such as pistols, gun guns, guns, shells and pallets;
  • pistols for light signals and pistols for starting sporting competitions;
  • arches, cross arches and arrows;
  • hunting weapons under water with spear and gas weapons;
  • Slingshot and throttle;b) Stunning equipment – Equipment specially designed for intruding or blocking, including:
  • Stroke devices, such as: stun guns, touching guns and remotely;
  • Animal-friendly and distance-control animals;
  • chemicals that cause disability and inability, gases and sprays, such as: misleading sprinkler, sprayer with pepper, melon sprayer, tear gas, acid sprayer and stun effect for animals.c) Sharp head edges or sharp edges – objects with a sharp tip or sharp edges capable of causing serious injury, including:
  • cut-off articles, such as spades, beaks and macadam’s;
  • pinch (mountaineering) and blade;
  • blades / trimmers, scalpels;
  • blades with a length of more than 6 cm;
  • blade with a length of more than 6 cm measured by gloves;
  • Sharp or pointed toothed martial arts equipment
  • swords;

(d) working tools capable of being used as to cause serious injury or to threaten the safety of the aircraft, including:

  • Drilling point of any kind, including any type of drill;
  • Blades or nibs with a length of over 6 cm in usable condition such as: guns, such as screwdrivers and darts;
  • sawmills, including bonnet blades;
  • bushes, torches;
  • Percussion tools and metal rivets;e) Open instruments – objects capable of causing serious injury when used for blows, including:
  • Baseball sticks, etc.
  • such as: rubber stick, wood, billiard sticks and rods;
  • martial arts equipment;

 

(f) Explosive and flammable substances and explosives and explosive substances and devices capable of or apparently capable of causing serious injury or constituting a threat to the safety of the aircraft including:

  • combat cartridge;
  • Explosive capsules;
  • detonators and fuses;
  • reproductions or imitations of explosive devices;
  • mines, grenades and other explosive military equipment of the warehouse;
  • fireworks and other props;
  • Explosive and smoke-extracting bombs;
  • dynamite, gunpowder and plastic explosives;

Exceptions

An exception to the item of prohibited articles may be granted under the following conditions:

(a) The Civil Aviation Authority has given consent that the article may be carried, and

(b) The air carrier is informed of the passenger and the item he / she carries with approval before the passengers have entered the aircraft, and

c) The application of safety rules in safety is meet.

Other articles

Security personnel may refuse the entry of any passenger in the restricted security areas, and in the cabin of an aircraft to the person who owns an item that is not in the list and for which they have doubts.

Air carrier, the airline should ensure that passengers are informed of the list of prohibited items before baggage and passport control has been met.

 Liquids

Due to safety reasons, the transport of liquids to the cabin baggage is subject to strict regulations and monitoring.

Liquids cannot be transported in hand bags unless packaged in individual boxes / packages whose capacity does not exceed 100 ml or 100 gr per each and if they are not included in transparent plastic bags with a capacity of not more than more than 1 liter in total.

Transparent cosmetic bags can also be used to store the juices in the hand luggage. The contents of the plastic bag must be clear and visible, and the bag must be fully sealed.

Liquids include: gel, pastes, lotions, liquid / solid mixtures, toothpaste, hair gel, drinks, syrups, pressurized products (shaving foam, deodorant and similar items).

Exemptions from transporting liquids in the cabin baggage

To adapt specific passenger categories and to respond to their current needs, the rules for the transport of liquids exclude the following:

  • Liquids used for medical or nutritional purposes, including baby food. The passenger must demonstrate that a certain liquid is used for specific purposes at the request of the security worker;
  • Liquids purchased at Duty Free of the airport after Boarding Pass control and before the passenger security check;
  • Liquids purchased at the Duty Free stores of the airport after the passenger security check;
  • Juices purchased at the airport of an EU Member State, being transferred to Albanian airports, provided that the liquid is in a sealed transparent bag with a clear specification that the liquid was purchased on the same day and at the same departure airport;
  • Liquids purchased in the Albanian aircraft or in the aircraft of EU Member States, transferring to Albanian airports, provided that the liquids is contained in a sealed transparent plastic bag with a clear specification that the liquid was purchased on the aircraft at the same day.

Useful recommendations

Passengers can also contribute to security control efficiently and rapidly. How?

  • Prepare on time for the flight and ask for items that cannot be taken on a flight.
  • Pack in the cabin baggage and check only those items that are prohibited in accordance with the list of prohibited articles and regulations on dangerous liquids and goods – so as not to compromise the potential flight ban or baggage seizure.
  • Liquid transported in a cabin baggage (only with a capacity of 100 ml or less) should be kept in plastic bags as specified.
  • Arrival at the airport on time to avoid possible delays and stress during the departure procedure.
  • When preparing for passenger and cabin baggage security monitoring, place out the metal items, watches, coins, and similar items in your cabin baggage in order not to hold or forget them.
  • When preparing for passenger and cabin baggage security monitoring, you must remove the liquid bag from the luggage compartment.
